Architecture Archive

Managed by Special Collections at the University of Auckland, the Architecture Archive contains architectural drawings and associated records from mostly New Zealand architects, particularly from the Auckland Region. It is considered nationally significant and is a rich resource for architectural researchers.

Key published collections

Discoverable via the Library Catalogue:

  • Architecture Historical Collection
    Books dating from the 17th century to the early 20th century covering a broad range of architectural subjects. Many of the volumes were donated by members of the University and the wider architectural community.
  • Architecture Folio Collection
    These large-format volumes date mostly from the 19th century and are richly illustrated. The collection includes books on specific architectural styles, individual buildings of note and documentation of technical details.
